The Geezers of Rock Facebook page (who were a team of Bruce Tibbitts and Fred Ball) had this message posted yesterday:
“It is with great sadness that I share this, Bruce passed away this morning after a brave fight with cancer. He is my musical partner, mentor, and friend forever. He has left a hole in the universe.”
“To all my friends and friends of Bruce – too many to name – I spoke to Tony Heslin at Note and Rich Tibbitts about doing a musical “celebration of life” for Bruce. He has offered December 23rd (start time to be determined). Please let me know if you would like to play and offer a few stories in celebration of a life well lived. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org – please use email so I can try to coordinate this event.”
The Geezers of Rock: “Bruce Tibbitts and Fred Ball try to remember the music and lyrics from your favorite songs. So far we are batting like .550.”
