WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST

TUESDAY…

* WHAT…Heavy snow expected. Accumulations of 5 to 10 inches.

* WHERE…Portions of northeast New Jersey, interior southern Connecticut and southeast New York.

* WHEN…Until 7 AM EST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Snow this morning and into tonight. There

  is potential for heavy snow banding to develop over the area, with snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour possible. If this occurs, snowfall amounts could be a few inches higher than forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

Check local Department of Transportation information services for the latest road conditions.
