Caution: Hazardous Icy Weather Conditions Today in Bethel

The National Weather Service has a Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 11 AM today. Freezing rain occurring. The ice will result in difficult travel conditions. Additional ice accumulations of up to one tenth of an inch are expected for portions of southern Connecticut and southeast New York until 11 AM EST this morning.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Periods of freezing rain early this morning will result in icy road conditions. Surface temperatures should rise above freezing before noon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
