Report by Paula Antolini, January 7, 2020, 11:42AM EDT
Fotis Dulos, 51, has been arrested today at his Jefferson Crossing home in Farmington, CT, and charged with the murder of his wife Jennifer Dulos, confirmed by his attorney Norm Pattis, according to Fox61 News.
Police are still on the scene.
Fox said authorities are likely to arrest two more individuals, one for the same charge, likely Michelle Troconis, and another unnamed individual, for conspiracy to commit murder.
Bond will likely be set at 6 million dollars, says Norm Pattis, according to Fox News, not confirmed.
Norm Pattis is heading to Troop G State Police in Bridgeport to look at the exact arrest warrant for his client, says Fox 61 News. It is there that Fotis Dulos will be officially charged with capital murder, murder and kidnapping.
According to the Stamford Advocate: Pattis said he expects his client will post the bond. Pattis said in a “paradoxical way,” the defense is “relieved” the murder charge has been filed so they can see the state’s full case. Pattis said the defense has known for several weeks that the murder charge was “imminent.”

Jennifer Dulos, mother of 5, who was living at 69 Welles Lane in New Canaan, CT, has been missing since May 24, 2019, after last seen dropping her children off at school. At 7pm the missing person report was filed.
Investigators went to her home and found evidence of blood stains on the garage floor. They also found blood on a vehicle located in the garage, according to an arrest warrant. A crime scene was declared and authorities then found evidence that there was an attempt to clean up the blood. The arrest warrant also states Jennifer Dulos’s 2017 Chevrolet Suburban was missing from the Welles Lane home but was located on May 24th near Waveny Park in New Canaan, according to the arrest report..
Jennifer’s home was a 2017 Chevrolet Suburban, which police located around 7 p.m. on May 24 near Waveny Park in New Canaan, the arrest warrant states. They found blood both inside and outside the vehicle.
Video of what appears to be Fotis Dulos and Michelle Troconis later surfaced that shows them dumping black garbage bags later found to contain items stained with Jennifer Dulos’s blood, and also license plates dumped in a storm drain, plates that had been altered, belonging to a Dulos vehicle.
Authorities also have extensive video footage collected from various sources along routes suspected to be driven by Fotis Dulos during the crime, along with phone records, which help to dictate the timeline of Dulos’ whereabouts during the day the murder was committed.
The Stamford Advocate reads: According to arrest warrants, police believe Fotis Dulos was “lying in wait” when Jennifer Dulos arrived home from dropping off their children at school in New Canaan around 8:05 a.m. May 24.
UPDATE:
The arrest warrants had not been released as of early Tuesday afternoon, but they are expected to also include the alleged involvement of Fotis Dulos’ former civil attorney, Kent Douglas Mawhinney.
Mawhinney, a South Windsor lawyer who represented Fotis Dulos in the $2.5 million lawsuits filed by his mother-in-law, is expected to be charged with conspiracy to commit murder in the case.
Mawhinney had previously been charged with violating a protective order in his own divorce. He was accused of having Fotis Dulos contact his estranged wife on his behalf, according to his arrest warrant.
Mawhinney was also charged last January with sexual assault in a spousal or cohabiting relationship, second-degree unlawful restraint and disorderly conduct, according to online state judicial records.
Mawhinney’s wife alleged that her husband wanted her “dead.”
State police are scouring courthouses in Hartford looking for Mawhinney.
