Bethel Town Clerk Lisa Bergh UPDATE September 16, 2020:

We are all waiting patiently for the Absentee Ballot Applications.

I am in constant communication with my fellow Town Clerks.
Danbury has received, as has Newtown, and Wilton.

I was told by the Secretary of the State last week that applications began a roll out beginning 9/8 with larger cities and finishing up on 9/11 with the mailing. Today during a conference call with the Sec of the State I learned that the mailouts continued through yesterday as a final day of mail out.

I would hope and expect the applications to be received tomorrow or Friday.

BALLOTS CANNOT GO OUT UNTIL 10/2 so there is plenty of time.

If you have a child away at school then have them go to the town website and print out the application located under the Absentee Ballot link on the home page and mail to my office the original. Please emphasize printing the address at school legibly.

If clarification is needed this is the best place to get a quick answer from me. My office is operating as a production line and most other office procedures will take a back seat to the processing and accounting of what is anticipated as a tsunami of Absentee Ballots.

Thank you for all of your support and patience! We currently are all waiting on the Secretary of the State to get us rolling with the arrival of applications.
