Apr. 17 | BRONX ZOO TRIP (WCSU students and guests only): The WCSU Honors Student Organization will host a trip to the Bronx Zoo 2300 Southern Blvd. in Bronx, New York. The bus will depart the Midtown campus at 8:15 a.m. and leave the Bronx at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 for WCSU students and $65 for guests, and are on sale now at the Information Desk in the Midtown Student Center, 181 White St. in Danbury. A Total Experience Tiicket includes round-trip bus transportation and admission and unlimited access to special rides and attractions available during the date of visit. It may include the 4D Theater, Jungle World, Shuttle Rides, Wild Asia Monorail, Children’s Zoo, Congo Gorilla Forest, Butterfly Garden, Bug Carousal and the Dinosaur Safari, depending on the weather. Apr. 17 – 19 | CONSIGNMENT EVENT: The Connecticut Kids Closet will hold a spring consignment event in the Feldman Arena of the O’Neill Center on the WCSU Westside campus, 43 Lake Ave. Extension in Danbury. From 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, there will be a pre-sale for charity. Entry will be gained with a $10 donation or a bag of non-perishable groceries. Apr. 19 | CHUCK’S MINI-MUDDER: The WCSU Recreation Office, Health Promotion and Exercise Sciences Department and the Student Government Association will host “Chuck’s Mini-Mudder” on the university’s Westside campus, 43 Lake Ave. Extension in Danbury. Registration will begin at 7 a.m. in the Westside Athletic Complex. Heats will begin at 8 a.m. and will occur in 15-minute intervals. The event will begin and end on the turf field of the stadium and will include 16 physical challenges over the course of two miles, many of which are covered in mud. Mina is an internationally known entertainer who will change the way people think about hypnosis. He received a psychology degree from Penn State University and is a Certified Hypnotherapist who has performed in Australia, Las Vegas and Times Square, where his off-Broadway show, “Perspective” was featured for six months.
