HARTFORD — On Monday, U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) will host U.S. Senator John McCain (R-Ariz.) in Connecticut to meet with the local Ukrainian community. The senators will hold a forum to discuss the ongoing crisis in Ukraine, the United States’ role in supporting the Ukrainian people, and the importance of putting an end to violence in the region.

Following their meeting with Connecticut’s Ukrainian community, Murphy and McCain will visit with the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce to discuss McCain’s newly released book, Thirteen Soldiers, which details the personal accounts of 13 American soldiers who fought in major military conflicts in our nation’s history.
 


Murphy has worked with McCain extensively throughout his service in the Senate. Murphy and McCain served with each other on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and have traveled to Ukraine together on several occasions in efforts to end the ongoing crisis in the region.
