Rep. Carter: Demand Open and Fair Debates; Says Blumenthal Keeps His Record ‘Hidden from Voters’
CT State Representative Dan Carter, running for U.S. Senate against incumbent U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal, is asking for your help in asking Blumenthal to reconsider an open and fair debate.
Carter’s message:
“As Connecticut’s U.S. Senator, Dick Blumenthal has called for openness and transparency in government nearly 100 times, yet today he hides behind a veil of spokesmen and staff to answer for him and keep his record hidden from voters.
“This is not the first time Senator Blumenthal has put politics over people. Throughout his career he has inserted himself in tragic events to politicize them and draw attention to himself.
“Decades of lying about his service in Vietnam; lying to the public about being with the families from Sandy Hook School when they were told of their children’s murders; using tragedies like Sandy Hook and the terror attack in Orlando to raise campaign cash, if this were my record I wouldn’t want to be held accountable either.
“Add your name to the list to demand Senator Blumenthal reconsider the numerous invitations I know his campaign has received and will give the voters the attention they deserve through fair and open debates.”
