Police Chase Intoxicated Driver Who Left Plumtrees Crash Scene with Baby in Car
Bethel resident Randall Krizan, 49, intoxicated and with a 6-month-old baby in the car, lead police on a high speed chase on Plumtrees Road on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, according to authorities. The child in the car was not hurt and police said the child was picked up by family members. Krizan resides on Deepwood Drive in Bethel, CT.

Krizan was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, risk of injury to a minor, evading responsibility, unsafe backing and failure to obey a stop sign, on November 18, 2015.
Police revealed that Krizian had been in a crash earlier on Plumtree’s and Walnut Hill Roads. Both Bethel and Danbury Police joined in the chase but could not apprehend the suspect who was driving a Jeep. The license plate was later found at the crash scene.
Thirty minutes later Bethel Police located the subject on Grassy Plain and stopped him. Sobriety tests were done and Krizan and was taken into custody. The legal breath alcohol content limit is 0.08 percent but Krizan’s was nearly 0.15 percent when Breathalyzer Tests were done later.
Krizan is scheduled to appear in State Superior Court on November 27, 2015 and has been released on a 10,000 bond.
