The National Weather Service has issued a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 AM EST THURSDAY…

* WHAT…Snow, possibly ending as a period of light freezing rain overnight. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 3 inches and a trace of ice expected.

* WHERE…Interior southern Connecticut.

* WHEN…From 6 PM this evening to 6 AM EST Thursday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Plan on slippery road conditions.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
