“Please sign this petition if you do not want refugees in our state of CT. I have seen first hand many homeless veterans who are struggling to get help from the state. We will not help our own American veterans, yet we will welcome complete strangers into our streets? Our children will be in danger and we need to tell Governor Malloy this is not ok.”

‘No Refugees in CT’ Petition Has 15,882 Signatures So Far
A wave of anti-refugee petitions started even before the deadly Paris attack but now the Connecticut petitions are even more important since Gov. Dannel Malloy has supported allowing refugees into CT.
One online petition on ipetition.com has 15, 882 signatures to stop refugees from entering Connecticut. The goal is to get 100,000 signatures.
The petition states:
Please sign this petition if you do not want refugees in our state of CT. I have seen first hand many homeless veterans who are struggling to get help from the state. We will not help our own American veterans, yet we will welcome complete strangers into our streets? Our children will be in danger and we need to tell Governor Malloy this is not ok.
We the people of Connecticut ask that:
♦ Senator’s Blumenthal and Murphy withdraw their support of Syrian refugee placement within the United States and Connecticut.
♦ Senator’s Blumenthal and Murphy support an immediate freeze on all immigration into the United States until our borders are secured and policies are implemented that will physically protect the American people.
♦ Governor Malloy rescinds all state aid to sanctuary cities and enforces existing immigration laws.
♦ Governor Malloy and Senators Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy protect the lives and liberties of the citizens of our state and our country from the threat of ISIS and any other terrorist organization.
You can contact the Governors office at this number – 860.566.4840 – and let him know that you have signed this along with thousands of other concerned citizens.

- as a US service member who is a CT resident, knowing that a list and order has been put out directly going after service member’s families, I feel as though the state of CT would not be doing all in it’s power to protect my family by allowing refugees who in many cases cannot be properly vetted into our state and near our homes and families homes. I made a choice to take a risk for my country, which now potentially makes me a target, and though my family takes all possible action to keep themselves under the radar at my request, this threat, no matter how small some people may deem it, is one they are not meant to bear because of my choice. I urge the legislators of the Constitution state to keep my family, and the families of countless other servicemembers safe, do not relocate refugees immediately into our state. My suggestions are to utilize otherwise set up locations by the government designed to house large quantities of people, place the refugees there, vet them accordingly, maintain an intelligence presence within said housing locations. Do more to protect the people who call this state home, or many will no longer do so.
