Newtown Police Used 6 Doses of Narcan to Revive 2 New York Residents on I-84 Exit Ramp 11

On the evening of July 5th at about 10:00pm Officers McDermott, Harold and Wickman of the Newtown Police Department responded to the I-84 Exit 11 off-ramp for the report of two individuals overdosing in a vehicle.

Upon arrival, the driver and passenger, were both found unconscious. Both officers provided aid and required 6 doses of Narcan to revive the two individuals.

Newtown Ambulance transported the individuals, both from New York, to Danbury Hospital for further evaluation.

Due to the incident occurring on a state highway Connecticut State Police took over the investigation.
