The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for southern Connecticut, northeast New Jersey and southeast New York.
Heat Advisories are in place across portions of the Northeast states through Monday due to the combination of hot temperatures and high humidity.
Today and tonight: Scattered thunderstorm development is possible this afternoon. The primary threats are gusty winds and lightning strikes.
Tuesday through Sunday: There is a low probability for widespread hazardous weather that would meet NWS warning criteria.
