UPDATE / BREAKING NEWS / NATIONAL: 14 Dead, Two Suspects Killed, 17 Wounded, 10 Critical, in San Bernardino, California Mass Shooting

On Wednesday, Decemeber 2, 2015, two shooters walked into a Christmas party at 11:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time in the Inland Regional Services building in San Bernadino, California.

Tips lead the police on a high speed chase 4 1/2 hours later, of a dark SUV believed related to the case, San Bernardino Police Chief Jarrod Burguan said.  This resulted in the shooting of two suspects, a man Syed Rizwan Farook, 28, and a woman, Tashfeen Malik, 27.  A police officer was wounded in the shootout.  A third person was seen fleeing the scene of the shootout and is now in custody.

“Explosive devices”were later found when authorities did a secondary sweep of the Inland Regional Services building and they were rendered safe. “”Devices that we felt were explosives in the building were disposed of” read the twitter comment on SBCountySheriff 6 hours ago.

No motive has been determined but it is labeled a “possible terrorist” incident.

Syed Rizwan Farook, 28, is a U.S.-born environmental specialist for San Bernardino County, and Tashfeen Malik, 27, left her 6-month-old baby with the grandmother before the shootings, NBC reports.

While the investigation is ongoing, if the public has any leads they are asked to please call 1-866-346-7632, or call 1-800-78-Crime to remain anonymous.

San Bernardino Police Chief Jarrod Burguan confirmed the deceased suspects in the ‪#‎ActiveShooter‬ incident in ‪#‎SanBernardino‬ as Syed Rizwan Farook (DOB 6/14/87) & Tashfeen Malik(DOB 7/13/86).

Syed Rizwan Farook was a San Bernardino County employee for 5 years. The relationship between the two suspects cannot be confirmed. Could be wife, gf, etc.

Rest assured we are doing everything we can to make sure the public is safe. Federal, state, county and local agencies are all working together.

The next news conference is scheduled for tomorrow morning at 9:00am at Waterman Ave and Vanderbilt.

This is a tragic day for the victims, family and friends, and people of San Bernardino. We appreciate all of the public’s support.

UPDATE / BREAKING NEWS / NATIONAL: San Bernardino, California, Police Responding to “Active Shooter” at County Site, Suspects Presently Surrounded

Police have the suspect vehicle, a black SUV, surrounded and shots have been fired. One or two suspects have been shot, one inside the vehicle and one outside, perhaps an officer shot (injured) too, but the scene is still active.  Large heavily armored SWAT vehicles are headed to the scene, according to NBC News.  There may be several scenes and two suspects may be down.

UPDATE / BREAKING NEWS / NATIONAL: San Bernardino, California, Police Responding to “Active Shooter” at County Site

A total of 14 people are reported killed and 14 injured so far in a mass shooting incident on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, in California.

At approximately 11:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time, three gunmen went into a conference room of the Inland Regional Services building on the 1300 Block of South Waterman Avenue and Park Center Circle in San Bernadino, California.  Those roads are closed, according to Lt. Richard Lawhead of the San Bernadino Police.  The scene is still active.  They fear the gunmen could have fled in a dark SUV.

Investigators are still arriving and there are hundreds of police at the location and ambulances are still arriving.

The Inland Regional Services building is a non-profit agency that serves more than 31,000 individuals with developmental disabilities in San Bernadino and Riverside Counties.  They have 670 staff members and opened in 1971.
