Edward Allen Rivera, white, age 25, of 14 Grandview Ave, Bethel, CT, was arrested on 10-04-16, 6:42 a.m., at Briar Cliff Manor and Nashville Road. He was charged with 2 counts of 29-38 Weapon in Motor Vehicle and 1 count of 14-218a Traveling Unreasonably Fast.

Edward Allen Rivera, white, age 25, of 14 Grandview Ave, Bethel, CT, was arrested on 10-04-16, 6:42 a.m., at Briar Cliff Manor and Nashville Road. He was charged with 2 counts of 29-38 Weapon in Motor Vehicle and 1 count of 14-218a Traveling Unreasonably Fast.

Rivera was pulled over for speeding (43mph in 25mph zone on radar) on Nashville Rd near Briar Cliff Manor. Upon stopping the vehicle and speaking with Rivera, a strong odor of marijuana was detected on Rivera’s person and vehicle. Rivera freely admitted to smoking marijuana just prior to getting into his vehicle to drive to work that morning.
