ZIKA VIRUS: What Towns & Cities Need to Know; Register for Free NLC and Federal Gov. Webinar

With summer approaching and concerns over the spread of Zika virus growing, now is the time to become familiar with the disease and the steps municipal officials can take to ensure towns and cities are educated and prepared.

Connecticut Information

The State of Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) has created a website dedicated to provide information regarding the Zika Virus.
Specifically, the State has created an interagency “Connecticut Zika Surveillance and Response Plan” which is intended to provide a guide for the State’s Zika virus prevention activities. The Plan will be modified and updated as additional information and federal guidance regarding this newly emerging threat becomes available. Some provisions of the Plan depend on availability of additional state or federal funds.
