Youngstown, OH – Police investigating a shooting on the South Side Thursday night discovered two semiautomatic rifles and drugs inside a home, authorities reported.

Shooting Call Details

Officers were dispatched at around 11:30 p.m. to Plum Street following reports of gunfire. While en route, police learned that a shooting victim had arrived at St. Elizabeth Health Center on Belmont Avenue.

At the scene, officers observed bullet casings from both a rifle and a pistol in the road. The home on the 300 block of Plum Street had several bullet holes and blood on a side door, prompting officers to enter to ensure no one inside was injured.

Items Seized

Inside the home, officers found in plain view:

  • Two AR-15 semiautomatic rifles in a duffel bag
  • Multiple bags of marijuana
  • Psychedelic mushrooms
  • CBD products
  • A whiteboard listing drugs and prices

All items were seized by police as evidence.

Victim Condition

The shooting victim was reportedly in stable condition but declined to cooperate with police, according to reports.

Ongoing Investigation

Authorities continue to investigate the shooting incident and are looking into the illegal drug and weapons activity discovered during the response.
