Jackson, TN — A 23-year-old woman from Jackson, Tennessee, has been arrested for allegedly assisting a murder suspect wanted in the killings of four family members, whose infant daughter was later found abandoned in a car seat miles away from the crime scene.
According to a news release from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), Dearrah Sanders was taken into custody Monday and charged with accessory after the fact in connection with the July 29 killings in Tiptonville.
Drummond Still on the Run
Authorities are still searching for 28-year-old Austin Robert Drummond, who is wanted on four counts of first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping, and multiple weapons charges.
Police believe Drummond intentionally targeted the victims, with whom he had a personal relationship, according to TBI Director David Rausch. Officials also said Drummond may have fled the state, and the U.S. Marshals Service has indicated he could soon face federal charges for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
Victims and Infant Identified
The four people found dead at the Tiptonville residence were:
- James M. Wilson, 21
- Adrianna Williams, 20 (the infant’s mother)
- Braydon Williams, 15
- Cortney Rose, 38 (Adrianna and Braydon’s mother)
Authorities say the infant, daughter of Wilson and Adrianna Williams, was discovered unharmed and strapped in a car seat about 40 miles away in the Tigrett area.
The child is now safe and in care, though officials have not disclosed how she was transported or why she was left in that particular location.
Two Other Suspects Already Arrested
Sanders is the third person arrested in connection with aiding Drummond. Two male suspects, Tanaka Brown, 29, and Giovonte Thomas, 29, were previously arrested on similar accessory charges, though authorities have yet to reveal how any of the three assisted Drummond following the killings.
Police in Jackson warned over the weekend: “We do not know Drummond’s current location. Residents should lock their doors and remain alert.”
Drummond’s Violent Criminal History
Drummond is considered armed and dangerous, with a lengthy criminal background that includes:
- Robbing a convenience store
- Threatening jurors
- Attempted murder while in prison
Officials have not released further details about the manner of the killings or exact timeline of events, leaving many questions unanswered as the manhunt intensifies.
Investigators are urging anyone with information about Drummond’s whereabouts to contact the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation or the U.S. Marshals Service.
