Wisconsin Woman Charged with Reckless Homicide After Stabbing Cousin Over Taco Bell Job Dispute

MILWAUKEE, Wis.Rae’Jianna Hall, 19, has been charged with reckless homicide following the stabbing death of her 18-year-old cousin, Jaquveon Wright, on September 29, according to Milwaukee police and court documents.

Incident Details

The tragic incident occurred in a Milwaukee duplex where both Hall and Wright lived along with other family members and Wright’s girlfriend. Authorities say the dispute began over Hall wanting Wright to help her get a job at the Taco Bell where he worked.

Police reports indicate that an argument escalated in the early afternoon, culminating in Hall stabbing Wright in the neck. Witnesses, including family members, reportedly saw parts of the incident unfold.

Victim and Arrest

Jaquveon Wright was pronounced dead at the scene after being found outside with a severe stab wound. Hall was taken into custody the same day and charged with reckless homicide, with enhancements for domestic abuse and use of a deadly weapon.

As per reports, she remains in the Milwaukee County Jail on a $100,000 bond. Her next court appearance is scheduled for October 14.

Alleged Confrontation

According to the criminal complaint:

  • Hall admitted to pepper-spraying Wright during an argument earlier in the day.
  • She claimed that Wright later punched her, after which she raised a knife and stabbed him.
  • Surveillance video captured Wright running out of the house with blood gushing from his neck before collapsing.
  • Wright’s girlfriend and mother reported that Hall had previously made threats, including saying, “I’m going to stab you, I’m going to kill you,” and threatening to have people come from Mississippi to fight him.

Hall allegedly admitted to police that she knew she could have killed Wright but claimed it was not her intention, refusing to clarify whether the stabbing was accidental or intentional.
