Belmont, Massachusetts – An 18-year-old man from Watertown has died after his motorcycle collided with another vehicle in Belmont, according to Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan.
The incident occurred just before 9 a.m. Tuesday, when Belmont police reported observing a moped being operated erratically on the wrong side of Trapelo Road. Authorities attempted to pull the operator over, but the teen failed to stop.
Crash Occurs After High-Speed Chase
The moped continued down Belmont Street before turning onto Stults Road, where it collided with a Honda CR-V traveling on Fairview Avenue. The impact was severe, and the moped operator was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the Honda CR-V sustained minor injuries and was also taken to a local hospital for evaluation.

District Attorney Marian Ryan confirmed that police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, including the teen’s erratic driving behavior and reasons for failing to stop for law enforcement.
