A celebratory crowd welcomed Bethel business owners and brothers Rocco and Lui Selmanti last night as they offered complimentary food and drinks in honor of their grand re-opening of Portofino’s Restaurant and Wine Bar, after being closed over a year because of water damage.

Last night the place was packed with many returning customers, family and friends who were happy to see them back.

First Selectman Matthew Knickerbocker participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony with Bethel Chamber of Commerce officials, which took place at 4:00 p.m.  View his comments in video below.

The grand re-opening celebration was from 4-6:00p.m. then live music was by Little Black Dress, with local musicians/singers Billy Michael and Annie Kelly.
