Berlin, New York – A dramatic multi-state vehicle pursuit that began in Vermont came to an end in Berlin, New York, leading to the arrest of two individuals and multiple criminal charges, according to New York State Police.

Chase Originates in Vermont and Crosses Into New York
Authorities reported that the pursuit initially started in Vermont, where police attempted to stop a suspect vehicle connected to alleged criminal activity. Troopers soon spotted the suspect vehicle traveling along Route 22 in Berlin, a small town located in Rensselaer County. According to police reports, Flanagan was charged with drug possession, while Klebbe faces charges of criminal use of drug paraphernalia. In addition, Klebbe was cited for vehicle-related violations, including leaving the scene of a crash, which investigators believe occurred during or shortly after the pursuit.
Officials did not disclose the specific type of drugs involved, stating that the case remains under active investigation.
Extradition Ordered for One Suspect
Following their arrests, authorities outlined different legal outcomes for the two suspects.
Sara Klebbe was ordered to be held pending extradition to Vermont, where the original pursuit began. Law enforcement officials indicated that Vermont authorities are expected to pursue additional legal action related to the initial incident.
