Two Women Fatally Struck During Street Fight in Southeast Houston

Houston, TX — Two women are dead after being struck by a vehicle while fighting in the middle of the road early Wednesday morning, according to the Houston Police Department (HPD).

Incident on Cullen Boulevard

Officers responded to reports of a hit-and-run crash on the 8900 block of Cullen Blvd around 3:30 a.m. HPD Sgt. David Rose said the women, one in her 30s and the other in her 50s, were engaged in a physical altercation in the southbound lanes when a sedan struck both of them.

“They were rolling around on the ground when the driver of the sedan hit them,” Sgt. Rose said to Click2Houston.

Hit-and-Run Investigation Underway

The driver did not stop to render aid, and both women were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not yet been released.

Authorities are reviewing surveillance footage from the area to identify the vehicle involved.

Public Assistance Requested

HPD is urging anyone with information about the hit-and-run driver or the vehicle to contact the HPD Hit-and-Run Unit at 713-247-4072 or provide anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
