Beloit, WI — Two men under 21 have been arrested in Beloit following a reported robbery that took place Wednesday night. The Beloit Police Department responded to the incident shortly before 8:30 p.m. on Nelson Avenue.
Robbery Incident and Suspect Pursuit
According to police, three individuals reported being robbed in the 1300 block of Nelson Avenue. After the incident, one of the victims reportedly chased a suspect onto Porter Avenue. As the pursuit continued, a second suspect allegedly pointed a firearm at the victim.
Both suspects then fled the scene in a vehicle, prompting an immediate response from law enforcement.
“The second suspect pointed a firearm at the victim before both suspects fled the scene in a vehicle,” the Beloit Police Department reported.
Vehicle Found and Arrests Made
Officers later located the vehicle in a driveway in the 300 block of Locust Street, with the suspects nearby. After a search, police recovered a firearm and took the suspects into custody without further incident.
Police identified the suspects as 20-year-old Marcus D. Davis and 19-year-old Richard T. Dixon, both from the Beloit area.
“The suspects were arrested after a traffic stop and the discovery of a firearm,” police confirmed.
Investigation Continues
The investigation into the robbery is ongoing, and authorities have not released further details about the suspects’ motives or any potential charges beyond the weapons possession and robbery offenses.
