YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Two Valley teens are in custody following a high-speed chase on Interstate 680 early Tuesday morning, after the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSP) says they were driving a stolen vehicle.

Chase Details

  • Time: Around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday
  • Location: I-680 northbound, about two miles before the Route 224 interchange in Boardman
  • Vehicle: Chrysler 300, believed to be stolen from Pittsburgh Airport

According to troopers, the car sped away when first spotted, prompting a pursuit that reached speeds of up to 130 miles per hour.

The chase concluded when the Chrysler and OSP cruiser collided near the Shirley Road exit in Youngstown. As per reports, no one was seriously injured in the crash.

Arrests and Charges

  • Keylen Jackson, 18, of Youngstown, was reportedly driving the stolen car. He was booked into jail on charges of:

  • John Johnson, 19, of Campbell, faces charges of:

    • Possessing criminal tools

Authorities are investigating whether the vehicle was stolen using a programmable ignition key.
