Durham, NC – A man was killed in one of two separate shootings Tuesday evening in Durham, prompting a police investigation that remains ongoing.
First Shooting on Hillsborough Road
Durham Police officers responded to a shooting call at 7:18 p.m. in the 3700 block of Hillsborough Road. Upon arrival, they discovered a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite emergency response efforts, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased man as they continue their investigation and notify next of kin.
Second Incident Reported Nearby
Shortly after the first call, police began investigating another shooting in the McDougle Terrace neighborhood, just a few miles away. As of now, details regarding the second incident remain limited, and it’s unclear whether the two events are connected.
