Hamilton, OH – A large-scale drug bust in Butler County led to the recovery of multiple illegal substances and thousands of dollars in cash, according to officials with the Butler County Sheriff’s Office. Two men from the Greater Cincinnati area have been linked to the case.
Massive Drug Seizure in Hamilton
The B.U.R.N. (Butler County Undercover Regional Narcotics) Task Force executed a search warrant at 9:04 a.m. on November 6, 2025, at a residence in Hamilton, Ohio.
During the operation, deputies confiscated:
- Four pounds of methamphetamine
- 1.6 grams of fentanyl
- Approximately 70 pressed pills
- $10,000 in U.S. currency
Authorities said the bust was part of an ongoing investigation into regional drug trafficking. The seized narcotics are believed to have been intended for distribution throughout Butler County and neighboring areas.
Suspects Identified and Charged
Following the search, Dominick Brown, 38, was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine. Deputies also issued a warrant for Obryan Chapman, 40, for possession of drugs, with additional charges pending as the investigation progresses.
Both suspects are believed to be part of a larger narcotics distribution network operating within southwest Ohio, according to the reports. Authorities are now working to trace the origins of the seized drugs.
Sheriff’s Statement on the Operation
Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones praised the work of the B.U.R.N. Task Force and emphasized the importance of keeping dangerous substances off local streets.
“Every gram of this poison we take off the street is a life we’re potentially saving,” Sheriff Jones said. “My office will continue to hunt down drug dealers and put them exactly where they belong — in jail. We will not allow these criminals to destroy families in our Butler County community.”
The Sheriff’s Office also noted that fentanyl remains one of the deadliest threats in the region, with even small amounts capable of causing fatal overdoses.
Community Response and Ongoing Investigation
Residents in Hamilton expressed relief after learning about the arrests, commending law enforcement for their continued crackdown on drug trafficking and opioid-related crimes.
The Butler County Undercover Regional Narcotics Task Force, in collaboration with other local and federal agencies, is continuing to pursue leads connected to the operation. Authorities expect more arrests as the investigation unfolds.
