Providence, UT — A tragic two-vehicle collision in Providence on Saturday evening left two teenagers dead and several others injured after a Toyota Corolla lost control and crashed into a Toyota Sienna, according to the Utah Highway Patrol (UHP).
Public information officer Davies Sanchez confirmed shortly after 7 p.m. that the crash involved multiple injuries and a chaotic scene as emergency crews rushed to assist the victims.
17-Year-Old Boy and 14-Year-Old Girl Killed
Authorities reported that a 17-year-old male died at the scene from severe injuries sustained in the impact. A 14-year-old female, who was also in the Corolla, succumbed to her injuries later at the hospital.

Corolla Crosses Lanes Into Oncoming Traffic
Preliminary findings revealed the driver of the Toyota Corolla lost control, veering across all southbound lanes on SR-165 and into oncoming traffic at Milepost 9.
The Corolla collided head-on with the Toyota Sienna, then rolled — ejecting three of the five passengers. Investigators have not yet determined whether seat belts were in use.
The Sienna’s occupants were also evaluated for injuries, though details have not yet been released.
Air Ambulance, Multiple Agencies Respond
The crash prompted a major emergency response involving the Logan Police Department, Logan Fire Department, and several assisting agencies, as per KUTV.

According to Sanchez:
- One person was airlifted to a nearby hospital.
- Three others were transported by ambulance.
- The roadway at MP 9 was blocked for hours as investigators worked the scene.
Authorities have not confirmed the cause of the initial loss of control, and the incident remains under active investigation.
Community Reeling From Loss
The Providence and Logan communities have been shaken by the deaths of the two teens. SR-165, a frequently traveled route, has seen serious crashes before — and residents expressed heartbreak over yet another tragic accident cutting young lives short.
Officials expect to release more information as crash reconstruction specialists analyze vehicle damage, skid marks, witness statements, and roadway conditions.
