Midland, Texas – A traffic stop in Midland led to a significant drug seizure and the arrest of two individuals on December 4, the Midland Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division reported. Officers recovered cocaine, marijuana, THC, and psilocybin, as well as a firearm, during the operation.
The seizure followed a search warrant executed with assistance from the Texas Anti-Gang Center Permian Basin at a property on the 6800 block of East County Road 55.
Drugs and Firearm Recovered
Authorities reported that the search yielded:
- Approximately 6.1354 kilograms of marijuana
- 2.687 kilograms of THC
- 339.5 grams of psilocybin
- One firearm
Officials emphasized the large quantities involved, particularly the marijuana, which exceeded multiple state thresholds for possession and trafficking.
Two Arrested and Charged
Two individuals were arrested in connection with the bust:
- Larry Gene O’Fallon, 33, charged with:
- Manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, Penalty Group 2 over 400g
- Manufacture and delivery of a controlled substanc,e Penalty Group 2 over 4g under 400g
- Possession of marijuana over 50 lbs
- Danny Wayne Halbrooks, 17, charged with:
- Possession of marijuana over 5 lbs under 50 lbs
Authorities indicated that the case remains under investigation, and additional charges could be filed depending on further findings.

The Midland Sheriff’s Office stressed that the operation reflects ongoing efforts to combat illegal drug distribution and prevent controlled substances from reaching the community. Officials urged residents to report suspicious activity and cooperate with law enforcement.
