Greensboro, NC – City officials and developers have announced two new affordable housing developments that will bring a combined 132 new homes to Greensboro as part of ongoing efforts to expand access to low-cost housing.
Overland Place Apartments
One of the projects, located at 3808 Overland Heights, will be called the Overland Place Apartments and will include 48 affordable homes.
Developer Carlos Sanchez, founder of CS+BO Architecture, said this is the first property his company has acquired for affordable housing in Greensboro.
“We wanted to provide the city with quality homes,” Sanchez explained to Fox8.
Sanchez has more than 15 years of experience in affordable housing development across the country, but emphasized that this project is personal since he and his wife live in Greensboro.
The Grayson at Randleman Crossing
The second project is The Grayson at Randleman Crossing, located at 2813 Randleman Road. It will feature 84 homes, further boosting the city’s affordable housing stock.
Both projects are being funded through the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency’s 2025 Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Awards, which provide critical financing support for such initiatives.
Community Impact
In total, the two projects will add 132 new homes to Greensboro.
Local resident Ted Partrick welcomed the news, saying:
“We can’t have only mid-level and higher-income residents in Greensboro. We’ve got to have good living for everybody.”
City leaders confirmed that the developments align with Greensboro’s Road to 10,000 Housing Initiative, a long-term plan to expand residential options.
Timeline
Construction on both Overland Place Apartments and The Grayson at Randleman Crossing is expected to begin in 2026.
