Tulsa Area Weather Forecast Patchy Fog Early Wednesday, Warm Week Ahead

Tulsa, OK – As a weather system exits the region late Tuesday night, residents of Tulsa and surrounding areas can expect patchy fog early Wednesday morning, particularly east of the immediate metro area. By 9 a.m., the fog is expected to dissipate, giving way to mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures, with afternoon highs reaching the mid-80s.

Dry and Warm Pattern Continues

From Thursday through most of the weekend, expect morning lows in the lower 60s and afternoon highs in the mid to upper 80s.

By Friday, the upper-level weather pattern shifts, as the mid-level ridge moves east, allowing a weak upper-level wave to move from the Rockies into the central Plains Saturday evening into early Sunday. A surface low is expected to develop along the lee side of the Rockies and move into the central Plains, causing southeast surface winds to increase to 15–25 mph from Friday through the weekend.

Rain Chances This Weekend

The southern edge of this system may affect southern Kansas and extreme northern Oklahoma late Saturday night into early Sunday, producing a few highly scattered storms.

  • Southeastern Kansas & extreme northern Oklahoma: 20% chance of measurable precipitation
  • Tulsa metro: Less than 10% chance

Early Next Week Forecast

As the upper-level wave exits Sunday, the ridge is expected to reestablish itself early next week, keeping highs above normal. Later in the week, a stronger trough and cold front may approach, potentially changing the weather pattern.

Friday Night Football Forecast

For high school football fans, expect kickoff temperatures in the upper 70s, dropping to the lower 70s by the end of games, with a steady southeast breeze of 10–20 mph.
