Boynton Beach, FLTragedy struck Sunday night in Boynton Beach when an 82-year-old man died following a three-car collision near the Indian Spring community, authorities report.

Crash Details

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Robert Lawson, 82, of Boynton Beach, was driving a Lexus sedan southbound on El Clair Ranch Road around 7:15 p.m. Sunday when the crash occurred. At the same time, Joseph Maher, 74, was driving a Ram pickup truck westbound on Woolbright Road.

As both vehicles entered the intersection, the front of Maher’s truck struck the driver’s side of Lawson’s Lexus. The force of the collision caused the Lexus to veer across the eastbound lanes of Woolbright Road, where it struck a third vehicle, a GMC Terrain driven by Ana Flores, 64.

Victims and Injuries

Robert Lawson was pronounced dead at the scene. Joseph Maher and Ana Flores, both from Boynton Beach, sustained minor injuries and were treated on-site, according to the reports.

Investigation and Community Impact

Authorities are investigating the exact circumstances of the crash, including whether traffic signals and road conditions played a role. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward to assist with the investigation.
