Three Suspects Arrested after High-Speed Stolen Vehicle Chase in Willowbrook Reaches over 100 MPH

Willowbrook, IL – A stolen vehicle chase involving two adults and a teenage accomplice ended with arrests after suspects led police on a dangerous pursuit that reached speeds of over 100 miles per hour, authorities confirmed.

Suspects Identified and Charged

The suspects were identified as Amarion Sutton, 19, of Maywood; Isaac Ramirez, 23, of Cicero; and a 16-year-old male juvenile from Orland Hills. All three have been charged with multiple felonies in connection with the high-speed pursuit, according to the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office.

Amarion Sutton faces aggravated possession of a stolen car and aggravated fleeing police. He is being held in custody until his trial.

Isaac Ramirez was charged with possession of a stolen car and released under the condition he have no contact with the vehicle’s owner.

The 16-year-old juvenile faces possession of a stolen car and unlawful possession of a firearm. He remains in custody pending his next court appearance.

Timeline of the Pursuit

The incident began on Wednesday afternoon when an Oak Brook police officer noticed a 2019 Nissan Altima reported stolen in the 6000 block of Stewart Drive in Willowbrook. Shortly thereafter, the stolen vehicle passed the officer at a high rate of speed, prompting a pursuit.

Rather than stopping, the driver, later identified as Sutton, allegedly turned off the vehicle’s lights and continued accelerating, reaching speeds exceeding 100 mph.

The chase continued as Sutton entered I-88 eastbound, where police deployed a tire deflation device on the passenger-side tires, forcing the vehicle to the shoulder. The suspects then exited the car and attempted to flee on foot, but were quickly apprehended by responding officers.

Firearm Discovered During Foot Pursuit

During the foot pursuit, officials recovered a loaded Glock 25 handgun with an extended magazine, allegedly discarded by the juvenile suspect. This discovery added an additional layer of seriousness to the case, highlighting the danger posed to both law enforcement and the public during the incident.

DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin commented on the incident:

“It is alleged that in the dead of night, Mr. Sutton, Mr. Ramirez, and a juvenile accomplice broke into and stole an innocent victim’s vehicle. Instead of pulling over when law enforcement attempted to stop them, Mr. Sutton turned off his lights and attempted to flee, reaching speeds of more than 100 mph. The juvenile was allegedly in possession of a loaded handgun with an extended magazine. We will not tolerate this type of behavior in DuPage County and will use every tool available, including drones, to apprehend those who threaten public safety.”

Court Proceedings Scheduled

Sutton and Ramirez are scheduled to appear in court on December 15, 2025, while the juvenile suspect is expected to appear on December 1, 2025. Authorities have emphasized that charges may evolve as the investigation continues.
