The Town of Bethel, CT is pleased to announce that they are offering a Small Business Assistance Program to eligible Bethel based small businesses that employ 25 or fewer employees and that have been adversely impacted by the COVID pandemic. Grant applications of up to $5,000 will be accepted between the dates of September 20 – October 22, 2021.
The Economic Development Commission created the program in response to the coronavirus pandemic and in an effort to assist small businesses that have been negatively impacted. The program is funded using ARPA funds and will allow the town to support up to 70 small businesses.
The Economic Development Commission has been following the impact of the pandemic on local businesses. As businesses continue to deal with some of the same challenges from last year they now also have a new set of challenges still ahead of them especially with the continued uncertainty of the pandemic. We believe that Bethel small businesses will benefit from this program and it will provide the financial resources needed to address some of the challenges that the pandemic has created and to make their businesses stronger.
Businesses who are interested in learning more about this program can go to the town’s website at https://www.bethel-ct.gov/content/117/8612/33274.aspx or contact Janice Chrzescijanek at eddirector@bethel-ct.gov or via phone 203-794-8521.
