The Friends of the Bethel Public Library Present ‘Poetry of the Earth’ on the Day After Bethel Community Earth Day, April 28th

The Friends of the Bethel Public Library present “Poetry of the Earth,” an afternoon of poems about the natural world, read by Connecticut residents.

WHERE: Bethel Public Library, Maria Parloa Community Room,189 Greenwood Ave, Bethel, CT

Among the readers will be Cortney Davis, Poet Laureate of Bethel, and David Leff, Poet Laureate of Canton, reading their own works.

Other readers will read poems by such noted writers as Mary Oliver, Wendell Berry, E.E. Cummings, and John Burroughs.

The program is being held in conjunction with Bethel Community Earth Day on the previous day, April 27.  Refreshments will be served and there will be an opportunity to meet the readers.
