The First Ever Poetry Coffeehouse & Open Mic Night at the Bethel Public Library
April 22, 2015, 6:00~8:30 p.m.
In Celebration of National Poetry Month!
All are welcome! Whether this is your first foray into the world of poetry, or your hundredth, we invite you to come share your poems, share your favorite author’s poems, or just sit back and listen!
Delicious coffee, courtesy of Molten Java, as well as light refreshments, will be served.
6:00-6:30 pm: browse a specially curated selection of poetry books from our collection, and feel free to check one out with your valid Library card. This is also the time to sign up for the open mic portion of the evening.
Due to time constraints, up to 8 open mic readers (age 16+) may sign up for time slots up to 10 minutes long, on a first-come first-served basis.
6:40 pm: Olivia Von Kohorn, Senior Library Assistant, will kick off the evening with a poetry reading, followed by the registered open mic readers.
Registration is required.
All programs sponsored by the Bethel Public Library are open to the public and meet accessibility requirements for the disabled. Those needing special accommodations should contact the Library at least 2 weeks prior to the event.
