THOUGHT AND POEM
Written By Jeanne Claire Probst

There is nothing more entertaining than to engage ourselves in the “arts.”  For years people have found comfort and satisfaction in seeing these through the eyes and hearts of those who share their gifts with us.

Whether we enjoy going to art galleries and try to imagine ourselves in the shoes of the one painting a picture or capturing one with a camera as we walk the halls, there is a sort of peace that comes over us as we bask in the beauty of colors and imaginations.

If music is what we desire, there is plenty around that will send the right notes to our ears that will allow our hearts to feel the moment as the musician plays his piece.

And writing or reading the writings of another can only inspire more thoughts that allow us to travel where we have never been before, and experience life in ways we may not be so brave to explore on our own.

With the warmer weather before us why not check out events going on in your local community and support those who have something they want to share that might “take you away” as you experience their “arts” as they present them to you.

What about you?  What is more apt to reach your heart and inspire you?  A painting, a picture, music… or writing… Share your thoughts with us…

THE EYES

The eyes it takes to see the perfect picture,

Leads many to see beyond just an adventure.

These eyes can see the heart and soul of the prizes they find,

When they first capture the moment with their eyes.

Next they seek to freeze what they see,

So that later they can share their photos with you and me.

They do this in a way that will help us to see,

All the different angles, the colors, the true beauty.

Should we connect with feeling what a photographer’s eyes could see,

We can then imagine the depths of a picture more clearly.

We will then be able to capture the moment as it was seen,

Through the eyes of the taker and what he saw that was so captivating.

The Fifteen Houses, a Novel

The Fifteen Houses is the first book of this new and exciting series to be published. Staged in the beautiful and scenic palate of East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, in the early 1950’s, the main character delves into her reoccurring and discomforting memories of her younger, formative years. Searching for answers to questions that have resurfaced in her mind over and over again during her time away from her family, she seeks to find rhyme and reasons to her insecurities, anger, phobias, fears, and life’s choices. Julianne Marguerite, one of eleven children, is determined to uncover the “mystery” that resulted in the downfall of her family. As you turn the pages in the book, each series of memories, will open a different door, to the different homes, (“Fifteen” to be exact).
