The Declaration of a Local Civil Preparedness Emergency was made today by First Selectman Matthew Knickerbocker in consultation with Bethel’s Director of Health Laura Vasile and Emergency Management Director Thomas Galliford.
This declaration allows the First Selectman and Board of Selectman the ability to take such action as deemed necessary to mitigate the current COVID-19 pandemic emergency and to secure and preserve any documents and evidence pertinent to and necessary. It allows for the future reimbursement from any available State and Federal funds related to the pandemic response locally.
This Declaration will be forwarded and filed at the CT Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security.
