MANITOWOC COUNTY, Wis. – A month-long drug investigation in Manitowoc County led to the arrest of three Texas men and the seizure of approximately 20 pounds of cocaine, authorities announced.
Arrested Suspects
The men arrested are Arturo Vara, Juan Villarreal, and Herbert Harrison, all from San Antonio, Texas. They were taken into custody last Wednesday, according to the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office. Charges were filed Friday, per online court records.
Investigation Details
The multi-agency investigation began when the Manitowoc Police Department identified the men as transporting cocaine from Texas to Manitowoc County for distribution. Investigators coordinated the shipment of eight kilograms of cocaine during the investigation.
Authorities confirmed that once Vara, Villarreal, and Harrison arrived in Manitowoc County and delivered the drugs, law enforcement executed the arrest operation. In addition to 20 pounds of cocaine, investigators also recovered methamphetamine and a stolen firearm.
Charges and Bail
The suspects face multiple drug-related charges, including manufacture/deliver cocaine as repeat offenders. Herbert Harrison is also charged with possession of a firearm as a convicted felon.
During bail hearings last Thursday, the following cash bonds were set:
- Juan Villarreal and Herbert Harrison: $750,000 each
- Arturo Vara: $500,000
The men are currently being held at the Manitowoc County Jail, as per Fox11Online.
