Memphis, Tenn. – A major narcotics investigation in rural Brosville, Tennessee, has resulted in the arrest of three men and one woman, following a methamphetamine bust conducted by the West Tennessee Drug Task Force, officials confirmed.
Drug Task Force Seizes Meth in Brosville
According to authorities, task force agents executed a drug investigation on Thursday, which led to the seizure of 127 grams of methamphetamine. However, after forensic testing, only half an ounce of the seized substance tested positive as genuine meth. The remaining material was identified as cutting agents — substances used to dilute the drug to increase profit.
Officials said this practice is common among street-level distributors seeking to maximize sales while reducing actual drug content, posing added risks to users who are unaware of what they’re consuming.
Four Suspects Taken Into Custody
Agents arrested four individuals connected to the operation.
- A man and a woman were charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a counterfeit controlled substance.
- Another male suspect faces charges of maintaining a drug location, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a counterfeit controlled substance.
- The fourth man, who had felony warrants from Fayette County and Haywood County, was also arrested. He now faces misdemeanor charges related to the bust.
According to the reports, The West Tennessee Drug Task Force stated that all suspects are being held pending further investigation and additional testing of the seized materials.
Unsafe Living Conditions Discovered
During the operation, agents uncovered hazardous living conditions inside the property. The home reportedly had no running water, exposed electrical wiring, a leaking roof, and multiple overloaded extension cords.
Authorities said they are now working with local officials to condemn the property until necessary safety repairs are made. “These conditions not only pose a risk to those living there but to the entire community,” one agent stated.

“Every gram of meth we take off the street makes a difference,” an official said. “This case shows that not only are we targeting drugs, but also unsafe living environments where this activity thrives.”
