Jamestown, NY— A major narcotics investigation in Jamestown led to the arrest of three individuals on Thursday afternoon, after law enforcement executed a targeted raid that uncovered a substantial haul of illegal drugs, packaging materials, and suspected drug proceeds inside a Palmer Street apartment.

Large Multi-Agency Task Force Executes Search Warrant

Around 4:10 p.m., members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force carried out a search warrant at 516 Palmer St., Upper Apartment, following an extended investigation into the sale and distribution of narcotics in the city.

The Jamestown Police Department SWAT Team forced entry into the residence, quickly locating three suspects:

  • Jamal M. Jackson, 33, of Jamestown
  • Krystafur J. Bowman, 30, of Buffalo
  • Jamarr A. Cunningham, 30, also of Buffalo

Officers reported that Jackson attempted to flee by climbing out of a second-story window, but was apprehended before he could escape. All three individuals were detained without further incident, as per the reports.

A thorough search of the apartment uncovered an extensive collection of controlled substances and tools commonly used in drug manufacturing and distribution. Investigators seized:

  • 136.1 grams of cocaine
  • 15.9 grams of crack cocaine
  • 291.5 grams of fentanyl
  • 485.3 grams of methamphetamine
  • A glass bowl used to cook narcotics
  • Plastic baggies intended for packaging
  • Digital scales used to weigh drugs
  • A quantity of U.S. currency believed to be drug-sale proceeds

Authorities noted that the combination of substances—especially the large amount of fentanyl, which remains a leading driver of overdose deaths nationwide—represents a significant disruption to local drug trafficking operations.

Multiple Felony Charges Filed Against All Three Suspects

After their arrest, Jackson, Bowman, and Cunningham were transported to the Jamestown City Jail. Each suspect now faces a lengthy list of serious charges, including:

  • First-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
  • Two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
  • Three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
  • Two counts of second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia

Law enforcement also confirmed that all three suspects are convicted felons, intensifying the severity of the case.

The individuals were arraigned before Honorable John Lamancuso Jr. in Jamestown City Court and subsequently committed to the Chautauqua County Jail without bail.

Regional Agencies Combine Efforts

The operation drew support from several partner agencies, highlighting the collaborative effort to combat narcotics distribution in the region. Assisting departments included:

  • Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office
  • Dunkirk Police Department
  • Jamestown Fire Department

Investigations into potential broader connections or additional suspects remain active.
