For International Overdose Awareness Day on August 31, The HERO Project will hold its 1st Annual Candlelight Vigil & Food Drive on the front lawn of the Bethel United Methodist Church, 141 Greenwood Avenue, in Bethel, CT.
The Candlelight Vigil is intended to be an opportunity for the community to come together for strength and comfort, and to remember those who have lost their lives due to the struggle with addiction.
If you have lost a loved one to an overdose and would like to have them commemorated during the event or would like to share a few words please e-mail [email protected].
In addition the HERO Project will be collecting donations for The Bethel Community Food Pantry from 6:30 PM -7:30 PM with the vigil starting promptly after.
Food Drive needs: canned fish, meat, fruit, peanut butter, cereal, paper goods & toiletries.
