North Charleston, SC – A 25-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday afternoon after police discovered a significant stash of illegal drugs and stolen firearms inside her vehicle during a patrol at a local motel known for drug activity.
Officers Spot Suspicious Vehicle
Two North Charleston police officers were conducting a proactive patrol at the EconoLodge due to frequent reports of drug-related incidents in the area. During the sweep, they observed a vehicle idling in the parking lot and approached the lone occupant, identified as Anisah Brown, 25.
Strong Odor of Marijuana Triggers Search
Upon approaching the car, officers immediately detected a strong marijuana odor. Using probable cause, they initiated a search of the vehicle, leading to the discovery of a backpack filled with various narcotics and illegally obtained items as reported.

- Over 39 grams of methamphetamine
- More than 37 grams of fentanyl
- Seven grams of cocaine
