Message from Senator Michael McLachlan:
On Wednesday, February 25, state legislators will hold a Public Hearing on a proposal to put up tolls on Connecticut’s borders.
Border tolls would discriminate against Connecticut residents who live near a state line, including thousands of Greater Danbury residents.
In addition, tolls are taxes, and we are overtaxed already!
You can help me say “No” to Border Tolls.
Here’s how:
1) Send an email in opposition to this proposal as soon as you can to the legislature’s Transportation Committee at [email protected]
The email can be as brief as you like. Include your name and town.
2) Copy me on the email at [email protected]
3) In the email’s subject line, put “House Bill 6818”. That’s the border toll bill’s number.
4) Share this information with anyone you know who is opposed to the idea of border tolls.
I will be testifying against House Bill 6818 in person. Wednesday’s hearing begins at 10:30 a.m. at the Legislative Office Building in Hartford and should last all day. Please contact me at 860 240-0068 with any questions about testifying.
Thank you in advance for your efforts in helping me to defeat this proposal!
