Sen. Boucher: Good News, CT Mileage Tax Idea Stalls

Many of you have called your state legislators and the governor in opposition to the idea of taxing Connecticut residents by the amount of miles they drive.

I am pleased to inform you that your calls have made a difference!

Democrat leaders on Friday announced that they have rejected the idea of enacting a mileage tax.

While the bad idea of a mileage tax appears to be off the table, we are likely to see a proposal to bring tolls back to Connecticut. I hope you will join me in voicing your opposition to another bad idea.

When the Connecticut taxpayers speak out against negative proposals like the mileage tax and tolls, positive results can happen!

Thank you for being proactive and for letting elected officials hear you loud and clear. You made a difference!
