Message from Mark and Linda Anderson, Founders, The SCOTTY Fund, Inc.:
Wow! What a year it has been so far! I hope this letter finds you safe and healthy!
Out of caution and in keeping with State mandates, our Annual Town Picnic has been canceled and our Winter’s Eve Gala will now be VIRTUAL!
We are grateful for all of the community and business support over the years and ask, if you are able this year, to sponsor our Virtual Gala event on December 5, 2020. Any amount you can donate is appreciated, and greatly needed at this time by families with ill children that we support (many of whom are immuno-compromised).

The SCOTTY Fund is a non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to providing financial and family support to children with life threatening and critical illnesses. We started the fund after we lost our three-year-old son Scott to cancer. It was our way to give back to the community for all the support we received during our son’s illness. Over the past 24 YEARS we have provided over 1.75 million dollars to families in the Greater-Danbury area with critically or terminally ill children.
The SCOTTY Fund provides financial assistance to pay medical bills, medical equipment and prescription costs, travel expenses, rent/mortgage and other household expenses during treatment, childcare, and gifts to increase the quality of life for the ill child, siblings and parents. With the help of hundreds of volunteers, we have also provided over four thousand nightly meals to families with ill children. We know our help has been invaluable to these families in need, especially during this unstable Covid19 time!

We hope to have hundreds of people attend our online Gala Event this year…we are viewing it as an opportunity for many more people to experience what we are all about! Your Sponsorship will be displayed on our Gala site page and all of our Auction bidding pages.
The Town of Bethel supported my family during Scott’s illness with nightly meals, several fundraisers and many prayers. I feel it is very important to give other critically ill children the support we received. Please consider being a part of this great effort.
You may send your donation to The SCOTTY Fund, Inc., P.O Box 1080, Bethel, CT 06801or online at https://www.scottyfund.org/donate.
