According to the Presidential Inaugural Committee, the following is a Schedule of Events for the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump, the 45th president of the United States.

The wreath-laying ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, January 19 at Arlington National Cemetery. This is a private event and tickets are not available to the public.

Voices of the People will feature groups from the hundreds of applications received by the Presidential Inaugural Committee to take part in inaugural festivities. Those participating include the DC Fire Department Emerald Society Pipes and Drums, King’s Academy Honor Choir, the Republican Hindu Coalition, Montgomery Area High School Marching Band, Marlana Van Hoose, Maury NJROTC Color Guard, Pride of Madawaska, Webelos Troop 177, Northern Middle School Honors Choir, American Tap Company, South Park and District Pipe Band, Everett High School Viking Marching Band, TwirlTasTix Baton Twirling, and Celtic United Pipes and Drums.
The Voices of the People will begin at approximately 10:35 AM at the Lincoln Memorial.
The Make America Great Again! Welcome Celebration will take place following Voices of the People and will be broadcast live to the nation from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. It will feature historic remarks from President-elect Donald J. Trump and special appearances from Toby Keith, Jon Voight, Jennifer Holliday, The Piano Guys, Lee Greenwood, RaviDrums, 3 Doors Down, and The Frontmen of Country (featuring Tim Rushlow, former lead singer of “Little Texas”, Larry Stewart of “Restless Heart” and Richie McDonald of “Lonestar”). The Celebration will also feature the participation of military bands as we honor our Armed Forces across all inaugural events and a fireworks show by Grucci at the conclusion.
This celebration will combine a diverse group of performers and is the official kick-off to the inaugural events. The concert will include an appearance by the President-elect Donald J. Trump.

The Presidential Inaugural Committee announced two special inaugural celebrations, free and open to the public, which will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2017. These events will allow the American people to witness history and tickets are not required for admittance to events on the National Mall, including the celebrations and the public standing areas for the swearing-in. Free commemorative tickets for the celebrations are now available on our website at 58PIC2017.org.
The events on Thursday will be held at the Lincoln Memorial, one of our nation’s most sacred temples. For more than a century, Americans have gathered at the Memorial under the thoughtful gaze of our sixteenth president to have their voices ring loud and clear from coast to coast.
“President-elect Trump has made it clear that this inaugural is of, by, and for the American people. The 58th Inaugural will celebrate American history and heritage, while setting the course to a brighter and bolder future for all Americans,” said Chairman Tom Barrack. “Above all, it will serve as tribute to one of our greatest attributes, the peaceful transition of partisan power.”
“As Abraham Lincoln said, ‘when an election is over, it is altogether fitting a free people that until the next election they should be one people,’” continued Chairman Barrack. “We will be one people working together, leading together, and making America great again, together.”

The Make America Great Again! Welcome Celebration is produced and directed by Emmy Award winners and nominees. For the first time ever, this inaugural event will be a fully produced broadcast event freely available to all U.S. networks, and features the first planned remarks by the President-elect in Washington, D.C. The Make America Great Again! Welcome Celebration will also be a pooled event.

Inaugural Swearing-In Ceremony

President-elect Donald J. Trump and Vice President-elect Michael R. Pence will be sworn in to office on the west front of the United States Capitol. Joining them will be their families, members of Congress, the U.S. Supreme Court, Diplomatic Corps and other distinguished invited guests.We are pleased to announce that a diverse set of faith leaders will offer readings and prayers at the swearing-in of President-elect Trump and honor the vital role religious faith plays in our multicultural, vibrant nation.
Those offering readings and giving the invocation at the ceremony are His Eminence Timothy Michael Cardinal Dolan, the Archbishop of New York, Reverend Dr. Samuel Rodriguez of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, and Pastor Paula White of New Destiny Christian Center.
Additionally, Rabbi Marvin Hier, Dean and Founder of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, Reverend Franklin Graham of Samaritan’s Purse and The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, and Bishop Wayne T. Jackson of Great Faith Ministries International will offer readings and give the benediction.

Inaugural Parade

Following the swearing-in ceremony, the parade will follow the President and Vice President from the Capitol to the White House. The parade is a favorite tradition for families and supporters from all over the country to see our nation’s new President, Vice President and their families make their way down Pennsylvania Avenue followed by parade participants.
There will be more than 8,000 parade participants representing forty organizations including high school and university marching bands, equestrian corps, first responders, and veterans groups.

The Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC) released an initial list of groups who have accepted an invitation to take part in the inaugural parade following the swearing in of President-elect Donald J. Trump and Vice President-elect Michael R. Pence on January 20, 2017.
“People from every corner of the country have expressed great interest in President-elect Trump’s inauguration and look forward to continuing a salute to our republic that spans more than two centuries,” said PIC CEO Sara Armstrong. “As participants follow in the footsteps of our new president and vice president down Pennsylvania Avenue, they will be adding their names to the long list of Americans who have honored our country by marching in the inaugural parade.”
