Republican Primary on Sept. 16 Confirmed by Republican Registrar Tim Beeble, Who Submitted Certified Petitions to the Sec. of State

Beeble: There will be a Republican Primary on Wednesday September 16th to determine whether the Republican Candidate for First Selectman will be Patricia Rist or William Duff.  Registrar Tim Beeble submitted the certified Petitions to the Town Clerk who will forward them to the Secretary of State.

Message from Republican Registrar Tim Beeble, August 11, 2015:

Yesterday, William Duff, Christopher Nazro and Frances Pulle submitted 21 primary petition sheets with containing 259 signatures. Today, Registrar of Voters Tim Beeble and Deputy Registrar of Voters Kris Correard, examined the petitions and certified that 196 of those signing the petitions are registered voters in Bethel who are members of the Republican party. The minimum required number of signatures to petition for a primary is 149 which is 5% of the Republican enrollment in Bethel. 

There will be a Republican Primary on Wednesday September 16, 2015 from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM at which Republican voters will decide whether the Republican First Selectman candidate for the November 3rd Municipal Election will be Patricia Rist, who is endorsed by the Republican Caucus, or William Duff, who is endorsed by the Bethel Republican Town Committee.
