PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE – TOWN OF BETHEL, CT
BOARD OF SELECTMEN
2015 Community Development Block Grant Program
For Reynolds Ridge Senior Housing Project

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town of Bethel will conduct a public hearing by the Board of Selectmen on September 5, 2018, 7:00pm in Meeting Room A at the C.J. Hurgin Municipal Center, 1 School St., Bethel, CT to discuss the completion of its’ 2015 Community Development Block Grant Program for renovations and improvements at Reynolds Ridge Senior Housing project.

The project included the replacement of windows; installation of new exterior and storm doors; upgrades to the community room and the creation of 2 fully accessible ADA units. Projects funded with CDBG allocations must carry out at least one of three National Objectives: Benefit to low – and moderate-income persons, elimination of slums and blight, or meeting urgent community development needs. This project met the criteria for benefit to low and moderate income persons.

The purpose of the public hearing is to review the project and obtain citizen’s views on the project as completed under the 2015 grant.

The Town of Bethel promotes fair housing and makes all programs available to low-and moderate-income households regardless of race, creed, color, national origin, ancestry, sex, gender identity or expression, marital status, age, lawful source of income, familial status, learning disability or physical/mental disability, or sexual orientation.

“Interested parties are encouraged to attend. The hearing is accessible to the handicapped. Any disabled persons requiring special assistance or non-English speaking persons should contact Phyllis Kansky at (203) 794-8148 at least five days prior to the hearing”.
