Oshkosh, WI – A wanted man was arrested and 43 grams of methamphetamine seized following a drug investigation by the Oshkosh Police Department, authorities report. The operation also uncovered drug paraphernalia and prompted a neighborhood search after the suspect fled on foot.

Investigation and Arrest

The incident occurred on Tuesday when the Oshkosh Police Vice and Narcotics Unit executed a search at a residence in the 1500 block of Doemel Street. Officers discovered methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, but the suspect fled the scene on foot, prompting a search of the surrounding area.

Because the residence is located near Emmeline Cook Elementary School, police immediately notified school officials and continued to provide updates during the search to ensure student safety.

Residents assisted officers by reporting sightings of the man, ultimately allowing police to locate him emerging from a backyard on Murdock Avenue near Hazel Street.

Fugitive Details

The 36-year-old suspect was wanted on a felony apprehension warrant through probation and parole. He was arrested and transported to the Winnebago County Jail. Authorities are recommending multiple charges, including:

  • Possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine
  • Maintaining a drug trafficking dwelling
